Concierges from San Miguel awarded Les Clefs d’Or

By Sandra Ríos

Concierges from San Miguel de Allende, members of the Asociación de Concierges de México, A.C., were awarded Les Clefs d’Or (Golden Keys) for having met all the requirements established by the association.

To obtain this award, concierges must have at least five years of experience in the field; must have attended national, international, and Pan-American conferences and lectures; must have taken an academic exam; and must develop a community project to benefit their city.

Concierges awarded with Les Clefs d’Or can provide better services to their guests even if the request comes from France, Portugal, or Africa. All kind of problems can be solved because there always will be a “Golden Key” concierge available in every part of the world.

Local hotel members of this association are Rosewood de San Miguel, Sierra Nevada, and Matilda. Gustavo López, Chief Concierge of the Hotel Matilda, presented the awards to Deborah Castaneda from Hotel Matilda, Fernando Zavala from Hotsson Hotel in León, Ricardo Jiménez from Belmont Sierra Nevada, and Abigail Núñez, Chief Concierge at Rosewood San Miguel.

The Sanmiguelenses receiving awards were the first in the city to receive this global certification, whose motto is “Service through friendship.” After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail celebration provided by Hotel Matilda.
