Cabaret Stories

Smile, You Are in San Miguel

By Sandra Ríos

Cabaret lovers enjoyed an afternoon of dance with a performance of  special cabaret pieces, on November 7 and 8 at El Sindicato.

“Minuit, historias de Cabaret” was the show, which comprised special moments of the most famous musicals on Broadway such as Nine, Cabaret, and Chicago. Also, flamenco, swing, and songs from the ‘40s and ‘50s were included in the presentation.

“Historias de Cabaret” was presented by “Danza Viral, Colectivo Escénico,” a multidisciplinary dance company from El Sindicato that features the work on stage of four talented dancers, like Fernando Ríos, from Querétaro. Actor José Luis Mendoza wrote poems to introduce each of the dance pieces, and Kimberly Medina was in charge of the lights.
