Exhibition in MuvArte

By Sandra Ríos

On October 3, “Imaginarios,” an exhibition by Alicia Sanchez Mejorada, opened at MuvArte Gallery. Mejorada, from Mexico City, is a ceramist, art historian, and academic at CENIDIAP (National Center for Research, Documentation, and Information Arts of the National Institute of Fine Arts) where she has worked since 1984. Regarding her work, Mejorada says: “For me, making ceramics is a journey to the affective memory, where memories and images that have marked me take shape and are reconstructed allowing different approaches, reinventing stories. In my work the strokes and textures seek to recover the impressions of certain objects of nature that caught my attention.” This exhibition will continue until November 30.

Prolongación de Alcocer 32, Valle del Maíz. Open Monday 11am-2pm, Thursday and Sunday 11am-6pm, Friday and Saturday 11am-7pm. 152 2425 and 415 100 6243.
