The November Pets of the Month Will Keep You Warm!
By Lynn Weisberg and Joan DiPiero
What could be better as the weather turns cooler than having a furry friend snuggle with you? Fuzzy and warm November’s cats Princesa and Vanessa are certain to have royalty in their backgrounds. Princesa, just under one year old, is aptly named. She is very vocal, calling out to us that she needs our attention much more than those other cats do, and that her petting requirements should be our utmost concern. Because of her dignified lineage, she does this in a polite manner, engaging us with her very intense eyes to make her requests seem less like demands. A lovely calico girl with a charming orange nose, she will make a delightful companion.
Vanessa really should have been named “Duchess” or at least “Lady” Vanessa. Serene and tranquil, she commands attention simply by striking a pose on her favorite pillow. A quiet girl, she enjoys being petted, but is not too dependent, being content to rest in repose and watch the world go by. About one and a half years old, this cream-colored pretty girl has gentle blue eyes and would love to grace your sofa with her presence.
Two very different young ladies are our November dogs. Nellie, a four-year-old medium-sized mixed breed, has been with us since 2012, and she is patiently waiting for her human soulmate to find her. She is a quiet, calm, gentle dog, with a tender, trusting gaze. She seems to be overlooked by potential adopters because she just waits patiently to be noticed and isn’t demanding of attention. She will be some lucky person’s best friend- maybe it’s you!
Teddi, a one-year-old beauty, is full of energy and wants nothing more than to run and play. Medium-sized, she enjoys learning new things, especially if she gets a treat for doing it right. She is affectionate and very friendly, with people and other dogs. She would do best in a place that has outdoor space for her to explore. Teddi is funny, feisty, and a good kisser.
