Exhibition of Works by Enrique Ortega
Fri, Oct 31, 4-6pm
Ancha de San Antonio 10A
He is a multimedia artist, a superb draughtsman, and his distinctive and original style sets him apart from other artists. His subject matter ranges from landscapes and portraits to expressionist and abstract art, and he has created more than 50 bronzes. This show, to be timely, will include some “Day of the Dead” works.
Ortega’s art is in many museums, including the Museo de Ciencia y Tecnología and the Museo de Antropología e Historia, in Chapultepec, Mexico, DF. He also had many one-man and group shows.
His works are collected nationally and internationally. One of his very large paintings has been donated to the University of Guanajuato. Several sculptures can be seen in Rancho Los Labradores, and one of his bronzes was among those stolen from Parque Juárez.
Don’t miss this great show!
The exhibition will open today, October 31, from 4 to 6pm at Provecho Restaurant, Ancha de San Antonio 10A. This is an opportunity to meet the artist. Refreshments will be served.
