By María Dolores Vidargas Rojas
The 20th Annual International Festival of Jazz and Blues in San Miguel de Allende presents Grammy award nominees Tuck and Patti, who with just voice and guitar have entertained audiences around the world for more than three decades. This musical duo performs from the heart, with interpretations ranging from small details to unique sounds in genres ranging from jazz, pop, and rhythm and blues to gospel, rock, and African and Brazilian styles.
The Tuck and Patti concert will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 8pm at Teatro Angela Peralta, where tickets are already for sale. Tickets can also be purchased through the PayPal system at http: //www.sanmigueljazz. com.mx/boletos.html and http://www.sanmigueljazz.com.mx/tickets.html
Another festival feature is a showing of the film “Round Midnight” at 12pm on November 15 at the Teatro Santa Ana, free of charge. The film is about the friendship between a saxophonist and a pianist in 1959 Paris, based on the lives of pianist Bud Powell and saxophonist Lester Young.
