An Active Day

By Sandra Ríos

Start your day walking through the downtown streets until you reach Hernández Macías, where you will find Café Lavanda, a cozy place with excellent service. We suggest La Cazuela for breakfast. It’s baked potatoes with mushrooms, ranchera sauce, and a fried egg. You can also try the best coffee produced in Mexico.

Hernández Macías 87, Centro.

Open 9 am-4pm from Wed to Mon. Sundays until 2pm

After your breakfast, you may want to go on a horseback riding tour to discover the beauty of the Mexican countryside and explore canyons, rivers, plains, and cliffs, appreciating the native flora and fauna. At the end of your journey, you can rappel from the top of the rocks. Later, share in a meal of Mexican food that includes homemade tortillas, ranchero cheese, and fresh organic beans, quesadillas, nopales, rice, fresh salsa, guacamole, and salad, among other typical dishes. Tour duration is five hours.

Arriving back in San Miguel, we suggest relaxing at the Patio Tres bar, where there is excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere. Order a martini or a cold beer.

Mesones 80, Centro. Tel. 152 4343
