Dinner to Benefit Cruz Roja

By Sandra Ríos

On Saturday September 6, Hotel Matilda gave a gala dinner for Cruz Roja together with Global Party, an international institution that works with hotels and quality restaurants and supports local charities.

Leticia Fernandez, president of Cruz Roja of San Miguel de Allende, said “We are extremely grateful to Hotel Matilda, Global Party, and the participation of the international chef Enrique Olvera, considered one of the top 10 chefs in the world, who prepared an exquisite dinner with a six course menu. The tickets for the gala dinner cost 2,000 pesos per person, which will help us to expand and improve facilities and provide better service for the community.” Daniel Lozano, director general of Cruz Roja Mexicana nationwide, said “Our goal is to reach more than one million people and prepare them for emergencies until professional emergency services arrive, allowing us the opportunity of saving more lives. Now we have a free app for mobile, which step by step tells you how to react and what to do in most emergencies. The name is “Cruz Roja Primeros Auxilios.”
