Back to School with activities at La Biblioteca

Now that the new school year begins, La Biblioteca has an extensive free program of courses for children and adolescents. Beginning with the Science Club, leaded by teacher Rita deBrito, every Saturday from 12pm to 2pm, where children will learn to work like scientists, doing experiments, hypothesis, data collection and graphics, in the areas of biology, chemistry and physics. The ages of the participants range from 8 to 13. The club has limited spaces for just15 children.
There are also painting classes, from Monday through Friday from 3pm to 5pm.
Computing course are starting on September 8 from 10am-11am and from 4pm-5pm. Monday to Friday, with a limited capacity of 12 children per class.
As well they will offer reading promotion activities from 11am to 12 pm and from 5pm-6pm, Monday to Friday.
Teatro Santa Ana will give the first module of musical composition by electronic means, for adolescents between 13 and 17 years old, starting on August 18, Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-4pm.
They also have a pre-Hispanic music workshop, on Saturdays from 12pm to 2pm, for youths aged 8-20. On September they will begin with the second workshop of mural painting as urban art, aimed for teenagers between 13 and 17. Finally they will resume theater classes for teen-agers, in September, on Saturdays from 10am to 12pm.
All workshops are free and the only requirement is the commitment not to miss classes and to be a member of La Biblioteca.
