The Outrageous Adventures of Sheldon and Mrs. Levine
By Lauren Osornio
Playreaders presents The Outrageous Adventures of Sheldon and Mrs. Levine, A Son’s Elusive Search for His Mother’s Happiness, a two-person play written by Sam Bobrick and Julie Stein. This is an exchange of hilarious letters between an overbearing mother and her 31-year-old runaway son. In this love/hate relationship, Sheldon blames his mother, Mrs. Levine, for breaking up his marriage and ruining his life. His mother can’t understand why something so trivial should bother him. Share in the angst, the madness and the mail of two people, who although thousands of miles apart, are still too close to each other for their own good. Gerri Baruch and her son will read the part of Mrs. Levine, Sheldon will be read by David Galitzky. Lights and sound will be handled by Dic Simandl and directed by Lauren Osornio.
Playreaders is located at St. Paul’s Church, Cardo 6.
