The Improv People…!

San Miguel de Allende’s comedy improv troupe, The Improv People, is thrilled to present their inaugural performance at Teatro Santa Ana. Based on audience suggestions, improvisational theater is created in the moment and allows the actors to create the characters, plot, situations and relationships without any pre-planning or preconceived story line. As a result, the audience plays witness to a performance that has never been seen before, and will never be seen again! All very exciting, and often quite hilarious.

Improv theater is pure invention — a way of making things up spontaneously, out of whatever comes to mind on the spot. All of us improvise in our daily lives – after all, conversations we have with friends and strangers happen on the spot without much planning — yet for students and actors of improv theater, this form offers an amazing opportunity to let go of inhibitions, be willing to make mistakes, think fast on our feet and much more!

Your chance to enjoy San Miguel’s own improv troupe – The Improv People — and to participate with suggestions for settings, relationships and situations, happens on Wednesday, August 6, at 5pm at Teatro Santa Ana. All previous shows performed by The Improv People have sold out. Seating is limited and advance ticket sales are available at the box office beginning July 21, 2014. You’ll love it!
