Fourth bazaar of art and alternative design: Totally Mexican design
By Jade Arroyo
Do you know who made your clothes, your shoes, the accessories you’re wearing, the soap in the shower? Behind ‘Made in Mexico’ products there are thousands of stories of brave and hard-working creative people. When you purchase these original products, you support the national economy and you empower the emerging designers, while taking home something that’s of first quality and has been made with work-justice ethics.
Fourth Bazaar of Art and Design
Sat and Sun 26 and 27 July, 10am-6pm
Ancha de San Antonio 28
The Bazaar of Art and Design is the first event in town created to spread Mexican independent design and to promote fair commerce and the purchase of handcrafted Made in Mexico products, and it’s coming back to San Miguel the 26th and 27th of July.
Following the format of an itinerant market, full of style and groove, the bazaar will take form once again featuring good Mexican design, live music, gourmet food and fun times. This time the bazaar will have the participation of over 50 brands, showcasing different branches of design. Many of the brands are coming to San Miguel for the first time, bringing a breath of fresh air to the city.
Offering a new outlook, this fourth edition will have completely different designers, generating surprise and the active exchange of ideas and creativity.
Don’t miss the opportunity to buy indigenous fashions by Tlapalli, a pair of vegan lipsticks by Ere Perez Studio, a Lamparófono, a silk top with Huichol print by Dogart, lucky charms by Boj Malva, a knitted chapatichos by Tis Meme or perhaps organic honey by Rio Turquesa. This time we’re having designers who do mensware, like clothing by Eclectik, leather accesories by Kiin and t-shirts by Hombre Necio and Los Hipersensibles. You will find a little bit of everything… fashion, art, shoes, jewelry, décor and wellbeing and gourmet products. Support your young Mexican designers and come visit the Bazaar of Art and Alternative Design. Like us on Facebook: Bazar de Arte y Diseño Alternativo de San Miguel.
