Experience flavors, scents and colors in San Miguel

By Sandra Ríos

For starting the day with an unforgettable, experience and appreciating San Miguel from the heights, a hot air balloon ride is one of the best attractions we have. The exhilarating rides usually start at 6am.

After landing, we recommend that you walk around downtown, especially along Diez de Sollano street, where a delicious aroma of coffee will guide you to one of the most traditional coffee shops, El Café la Ventana. Locals visit it on a daily basis and tourists will get a pleasant surprise. We suggest you order a cappuccino along with delicious homemade bread.

In order to learn more about the craftsmanship and food of San Miguel, we invite you to visit the artisan’s market. Walking this corridor for three blocks, you will find wonderful surprises for a good price, and you can stop for a thirst-quenching natural juice to keep you refreshed as you continue with your journey.

To eat something typically Mexican, the restaurant El Correo is one of the best options. The food here has excellent seasoning. We recommend the tampiqueña steak or the poblano chile stuffed with cheese.
