Dede attended the Art Institute of Houston, as well as the University of Texas, Austin, the Glassell Art School in Houston and the Santa Fe Art Institute in New Mexico. She has lived all over the United States while her work has found audiences in exhibitions worldwide. In solo, group and museum exhibitions, her powerful paintings have been shown in the Arab Emirates, Italy, Spain, Mexico and in US locations such as New Mexico, Texas, Kentucky and California.
While she has worked with many different mediums such as watercolor, oil and charcoal, she focuses on her adventurous watercolor style often identified by the large strokes of her brush. Her ethereal yet powerful renditions of her horse paintings have been the result of her emotional attachment to her subjects. Her love of horses has long influenced the power, movement, color and emotion of her paintings.
She has transferred that same passion and energy to her recent archangel paintings. With an uninhibited toolset at her side, including brushes, hands, paper towels, nails, etc., she uses her international experience in culture and color to reach the dimensions and senses of her paintings.
