A mixture of musical genres such as opera, pop, rock, jazz, blues and electronic music will be presented, and result in a unique and incomparable sound, full of different textures.
Canticum Opera Pop consists of musicians who live in San Miguel de Allende and the city of Queretaro. Soprano Gabriela Perales with her extraordinary versatility lights up the stage with Sesan del Futuro on synthesizers, keyboards and sound effects. Victor Monterrubio will keep the heart beating with dazzling percussion alongside bassist Adrian Flores with both his electric and double bass and, lastly, mellowing your soul with acoustic piano will be Patricio Peña.
Canticum is also a showcase displaying the talents of Mexican artists in Guanajuato that with their dedication and love will present their work on stage at this great event. This performance of “Canticum Through the Years” will feature the special participation of Chi Kaplan, a painter recognized for his themed work, “The Magic is Real.” Chi will paint live during the concert joining the colors of the lights and shadows. His work will be exhibited in the lobby of the theater afterward.
