San Miguel at its loveliest, photography extraordinaire
By Barry Weiss
When Josefa Jonguitud Zuniga, the Manager of CIbanco here in Centro, San Miguel, saw Barry Weiss’s photography at the Instituto Art Fair in May of this year, she was so impressed she invited him to display his work at the bank.

Barry Weiss, an award-winning ceramicist, fell in love with the visual world of San Miguel when he decided to call San Miguel home two years ago. Since, he has focused his artistic sensibility on photography capturing the magic of the architecture, people and flora of Mexico. Barry also strives to embody both the philosophy of service as well as the lifestyle in our wonderful community.
The powerful work in his new collection of 30 photographs is currently on display at CIBanco, San Francisco 25. It is in the main lobby, two business offices and the conference room.
Barry says, “his goal is to allow the images to tell a story both of our beautiful city and country.” “I love colors and this city is resplendent with color.”
Barry uses a palette of chosen hues to enhance his original images, a creative technique which results in a painterly expression of his soul.
He currently displays his work at Academia de Fotografía on the corner of Mesones and Reloj. His work can also be seen at the Instituto de Allende Art fair and his website: www.BarryWeissPhotography.com .
Please join us for an artist reception on Friday, July 4, from 5-7 pm at CIBanco, San Francisco 25.
