The guest artists are a group of international talents with whom we share great themes of the big screen. The musicians are: Ingrid Beaujean, a Mexican singer who captivated the public of San Miguel at the last festival, where she performed a tribute to the Jazz Divas and participated in the tribute to Paul Simon. Her voice is unique! Tere Urtusástegui, oboist and co-director of the festival, will share great melodies which are by memorable contemporary film composer Ennio Morricone. Pedro Cartas, Cuban violinist who has been involved with luminaries such as Doc Severinsen and has traveled the world promoting good music, either as part of a symphony orchestra or as a soloist. Severo Barrera, Mexican guitarist with a melancholy sound of sublime moments of international cinema. Ken Basman, Canadian guitarist who shares his jazz interpretation with large inputs of swing. Victor Monterrubio, Mexican percussionist and drummer who will enchant us with his rhythm of sound environments. Antonio Lozoya, Mexican bassist and director of the Festival, who has been fortunate to work with most of these great artists for over a decade and produced and directed this musical celebration.
Some of the music we will hear in this concert will include some classic film productions such as The Wizard of Oz, Cinema Paradiso, Around Midnight, The Mission, Baghdad Cafe and Casablanca, among others. The intention is to offer a new approach to musical movie themes in a different space. For sure you’ll enjoy it; join us!
