The Architects Association celebrates the 25th anniversary of the institution with an exhibit about the history of the association with a brief overview of the architectural manifestations in the municipality; the inauguration took place on Monday, June 2, at Bellas Artes.
“The main objective is to share what our members have contributed to San Miguel,” said Javier Mojarro, president of the School of Architects.
The association membership includes more than 70 professionals who work in this field, with many of them having specialties and master’s degrees.
The exhibit displays 25 sheets of various architectural projects made by the association members, so visitors can identify San Miguel places through architecture and learn more about the current architectural trend of the city.
“This show is a window to our association and we are happy tohave the opportunity to invite the public to attend seminars and other events organized by our association. These events have always and will always be open, Mojarro said.
He also emphasized that the exhibit will allow visitors to learn more about the institution, as well as its role in the city’s development, since it has been the cornerstone of continuing education for its members, which is reflexed in the execution of professional services of a social nature as well as in their contribution to San Miguel. “We have been very active as an association, we belong to the Federation of Associations of architects of Mexico; for three consecutive years we have been recognized statewide as “college of distinguished professionals” and twice as “distinguished Architects association.”
