Welcome to San Miguel de Allende!

By Sandra Ríos

Here are some tips on how to have a great day in this beautiful town full of joy and fun!

Begin the day with great energy and a delicious breakfast.  We recommend La Mesa Grande where you can order tasty chilaquiles or enchiladas. Or if you’d rather have something sweet, the French toast may be an option. All the baked goods are home-made by the owner, such as croissants, fruit pie, chocolate bread and cinnamon rolls.

To drink we suggest the house coffee, a mixture of beans from Veracruz, Chiapas and Tabasco, or the fresh carrot, celery and ginger juices, which are very tasty.

After a delicious breakfast, relax and enjoy the sun and healing hot springs! We suggest La Gruta, which has large grassy areas and lounges where you can rest. It has two large outdoor pools, one of which takes you through a tunnel that leads to a vault where a jet of hot water can give you a comforting massage on your back!

In the evening, if you like wine and organic food we suggest the Rancho Toyan’s wine tasting and organic food and cheese. We recommend calling first, since a minimum of eight people is required for the tasting and the tour, which includes the vineyards and the cellar.
Located at Km 8.5 Salida a Querétaro. Tel 1527400

For late night, if you like jazz, blues or ballads Frank Sinatra style, one of the best places to hear live music is at La Noche Piano Bar! The music usually starts at 9pm open from Wednesday to Sunday. Mesones101. Col. Centro. Tel 1490678
