TEDx San Miguel de Allende takes it slow
By Annie Coleman
Some of the brightest change makers and most brilliant minds will gather at Cines Aldama on June 7 for an all-day conference. TEDx San Miguel de Allende celebrates its fifth year with the theme De:Spacio. De:Spacio is an exploration of how we slow down and make space in this rapidly accelerating world.
This year, TEDx will be part of a larger cultural offering called Peregrinos, a four-day series of events dates centered around innovation and conscious leadership. Peregrinos will include a Sandbox retreat, an international network of young global leaders who are changing the rules of the game, Fuck Up Nights, which is a platform where successful entrepeneurs speak about their failures, and Yoko Ono’s foundation for peace, the Non-Violence Project gallery in the ConsejoTuristico.
Prepare for an unforgettable weekend packed with ideas worth spreading, and thank you for supporting TEDx San Miguel de Allende! Tickets are on sale now at tedxsanmigueldeallende.com, at La Victoriana, and Recreo San Miguel. Early Bird tickets are available until May 31.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection.
TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California almost 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes on a diverse mix of topics. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com.
