Support local growers and producers at the organic market
By Jade Arroyo
The organic market in San Miguel is a place where every Saturday locals and tourists gather to shop, see new things and chat with friends or meet new ones in a very relaxed atmosphere. The market, run by the nonprofit organization TOSMA A.C., seeks to promote and develop ecological, organic and sustainable culture and also provide education about protecting the planet.

Here you can find a large variety of products, everything from vegetables and cheeses, preserved foods, liquor and prepared foods to jewelry, beauty products and textiles. Everything is handcrafted using organic materials.
Artists, photographers and representatives of nonprofit organizations are also on hand. Shoppers can sit at one of the long tables and enjoy a tasty and healthy breakfast of coffee and tacos with several different fillings or quesadillas.
This market is also a showcase for local musicians and performers, who throughout the morning create an atmosphere of friendship and sharing through their art.
TOSMA is open every Saturday from 8:30am to 2:30pm at the corner of Ancha de San Antonio and Cardo on the grounds of Rosewood.
