Alise De Sica’s “At the Same Time”
Sat/Sab, Apr/Abr 19, 7pm
For this particular one-woman show the artist has worked in situ on a series of encaustic paintings of various formats. Using a figurative and cheerful language, the works reveal the detailed and academic technique of this artist who, with a versatile use of color, manages to bring us her perception of the world, her impressions of Mexico as seen through the eyes of a traveling artist.
The gallery opens its doors on Saturday, April 19 at 7pm, and will share with the San Miguel community this work created in Mexico by this talented young artist, who was born during the Soviet regime. Alise has been a part of and has witnessed the profound political and social changes of the last century. Having been raised in a family of artists, she is nurtured by the interesting traditional culture of her country and the important savoir faire of her experience. While interacting with different cultures in her extensive travels around the world, she confirms a sharp and artistic vocation through the polyglot spirit of the artist.
