US First Lady, Michelle Obama, experiences Tai Chi in China

By Virginia Harford

Michelle Obama looked pretty good as she was given an experience of Tai Chi while in China. She had high heels on, which is not recommended.

The World Tai Chi and Qigong Day supporters created a petition. They want her to attend this year’s World Tai Chi & Qigong Day event in Kansas City, which is the birthplace of WTCQD. They feel it could be a natural ally to Michelle’s Health Program.

“You know, if we can come together as a Tai Chi and Qigong family and act in concert, we can do amazing things. If we see ourselves as unconnected to one another, we have much less impact in the world.  Just like when you do Tai Chi in a group, you enjoy the power of group energy, the same is true of the world Tai Chi and Qigong community. If we all stand alone, we have less power, when we come together our energy is amplified.”

“Alone we can do so little…together, so much.”—Helen Keller

To invite the First Lady to participate in WTCQD 2014:

The below petition will go public on the White House site when WTCQD receives 150 signatures.  Then they need 100,000 signatures by April 24. Please sign the White House petition by clicking:

On March 13, the National Qigong Association’s “Qi Talks” program hosted founder Bill Douglas of WTCQD and also Tai Chi and Qigong teachers who participated in this call-in program, reporting on their Tai Chi and Qigong breakthroughs and insights.
