The final talk in series on “The Water Crisis in SMA” will address the role and importance of organic matter in water retention as it affects our watershed and gardens.  It will address municipal efforts and climate change implications, as well as practical actions individuals can make in their residential gardens.

The talk, “How Organic Matter, Matters! For the Watershed and Your Garden” will occur on Tuesday, March 25, from 11am until noon, at St Paul’s Church Hall, Calzada del Cardo 6.

The speaker will be Mario Arturo Hernández Penz, the General Director of El Charco del Ingenio, San Miguel’s Botanic Garden and Nature Reserve. He has worked with numerous NGOs and state government, and has spoken on television and radio regarding water, natural resources and environmental governance.
