New Shalom San Miguel Jewish Center highlights literary programs this month

For seven winter seasons, Shalom San Miguel has provided a venue for writers on Jewish themes. Nicole Krauss’ Zusya on the Roof, which deals with end-of-life issues and what it means to live Jewishly, will be discussed on Monday, March 17, at 5pm. Milton Teichman and Sharon Leder, both fiction writers and winter residents of San Miguel for 14 years, will lead discussion. On Sunday, March 23, at 5pm, Shalom San Miguel hosts a literary reading of original writing on Jewish themes. A hallmark San Miguel event! Six accomplished readers—Roberta Schine, Lynda Schor, Milton Teichman, Judith Jenya, Rick Roberts, and Sharon Leder—present new works that offer inspiration, sense of historical roots and of loss, humor, tragedy and entertainment.
All programs are held at the JC3, home of Shalom San Miguel de Allende, located at Las Moras 47, corner of Cinco de Mayo in colonia Allende/Guadiana.
