The ZuZuMen feature the internationally known talents of J.K. O’Donnell, lead singer; the legendary Ken Bassman, guitar; internationally known recording artist Rick Shlosser, drums; and the amazing Danny Beltrán at bass. The ZuZuMen will be performing blues and gospel and a few surprises from their newly released CD: The ZuZuMen.

At 11am a delicious Sunday brunch with mimosas will begin, to be followed by the live music by The ZuZuMen. The price is just 200 pesos for a wonderful time. Tickets are on sale at Vía Orgánica or can be reserved by phone 152-0026, Roger at Casa Angelitos. Limited seating!

The event will benefit Protege San Miguel, a group of concerned citizens who work to protect and preserve San Miguel’s Historical Center.

Protege San Miguel simply asks that the zoning regulation prohibiting franchises in the historic center not be ignored but applied. Presently Coppel, a discount department store chain, is planning a three-story store on Calle Codo. McDonald’s fast food is still attempting to locate on 16 Calle Canal, just a few doors from the Jardín. There are also many other infractions either in place or in the works. Let’s speak up and stop this invasion!

Please take part in helping to protect San Miguel’s beautiful Centro Histórico from incursions by franchises and multinationals whose presence is not compatible with its colonial image. Please buy a ticket to support us. Whether you plan to attend or not, we ask that you join the group. To find us, simply friend us at Protege San Miguel or see our website, See you Sunday March 9, 2014 for Brunch & Live Blues!
