The Christmas season is a wonderful time of sharing and helping. Parishioners of Santa Ana Church continued with this holiday spirit and also enjoyed a festive evening on January 4, the feast of the Epiphany.
Organized by Charlie Brehm and Sheryl MacDonald, the catered dinner brought together parishioners of the church, family and guests. Amid beautiful holiday decorations at the home of Charlie Brehm, diners feasted on prime beef or chicken with wine and all the appropriate trimmings. Gayle Paulson, owner of La Mansion, donated her services as chef, and her staff of waiters served. Food was purchased and donated by Sheryl MacDonald’s brother, Redge Teague.
This dinner was held as a fundraiser to assist with the regular operating expenses of the church. The perfect evening of camaraderie and celebration netted profits of US$712 for the landmark church, which is located next to the Biblioteca.
