Until the end of March

After just a few months since Alejandra Mendoza exhibited a series of works on paper in the Santiago Corral Gallery with great success, the artist presents us with a small array of dancing figures, all mixed media on canvas. Once again we are presented with what appear to be dancing dolls, more psychedelic than innocently playful. The dancing figures seem to be possessed with a Faustian grin on their faces. I am reminded of the ballet in The Red Shoes, where the star puts on a beautiful pair of red dancing slippers and is immediately possessed, unable to stop dancing. These beautifully executed works seem to take on a possession of their own and it difficult to take your eyes off them. Without a doubt, this too will be a very successful exhibition. Until the end of March.
