Uncommon Hope, painting exhibition of an emerging artist
By Allison Perse
The Bordello Galeria invites you to join us this Saturday from 6 to 8pm, to view new works by a remarkable emerging talent, Jaime Adan.
Sat, Jan 18, 6-8pm
½ block off Hernández Macías
Jaime is a long time friend of San Miguel and its surroundings as a traveler and self-taught painter. He has lived a decidedly nomadic lifestyle since an early age in order to know firsthand some of today’s world through his youth. His interests are mainly in understanding more about marginalized social characters such as small farmers, ranchers and indigenous folks around many countries in both the European and American continents. Jaime always kept learning something new from the experiences, listening, observing and asking “tell me your story.” He structures his works, whose basis emerges from his passion for drawing “live,” into his current explorations as plein air oil painting.
Our young painter keeps advancing constant investigations of his subject matter, while managing a wide diversity of commissioned works such as portraits, murals and live weddings among other subjects… an unshakeable practice which allows him to handle diverse techniques freely, a personal seal we find throughout his extensive range of works.
Come meet our artist and his friends at our opening reception this Saturday at Bordello Galería, Organos19, one-half block off Hernández Macías.
