Opening party of activities 2014
Introducing Amalgama, Archive 01
Sat, Jan 11, 7pm
Insurgentes 66 (upstairs)

Amalgama is the event that will open this New Year. It is a project that brings together more than thirty artists and intellectuals from across the country, including musicians, humanists, art critics, poets, journalists, photographers, designers, essayists, sociologists and visual, scenic, conceptual and experimental artists. Participants and the audience will interact to explore other ways to create artwork, looking for new means for communication between art and society, and thus a new way to build and perceive our culture.

Archive 01 is the first edition of this project and will be kicked off with an opening cocktail party with live music to generate dialogue among the attendees and thereby involve people participating in Amalgama. This is a great opportunity to take an active part in the creation of art, and guests will have the opportunity to interact with the artists and become closely involved in their artwork, transform it and give it a different meaning. The audience will be the guests of honor.

La Expendiduría is a project dedicated to promoting culture in San Miguel de Allende through several programs including art exhibitions, lectures, film screenings, workshops, publishing projects, and literary presentations, to mention a few. All this work is possible thanks to support from the EPPCI A.C. Foundation, a non-profit organization in San Miguel de Allende.

La Expendiduría continually collaborates with other institutions, organizations and festivals as well as with local and national cultural events.

It is suggested you arrive on time to better enjoy the event.
