Three Kings’ Day
By Antonio De Jesús Aguado
Following tradition, the three Kings will arrive at the Jardín on January 6.
The celebration will begin at 5pm with a parade which will feature a small train full of balloons to be handed over to children—as well as a cart pulled by horses, clowns and an engine from the fire department. The parade will be headed by Balthazar, Melchior and Caspar riding on horseback. The journey will be accompanied by wind music.
The parade will leave from Calzada de la Aurora (in front of the former factory) and will continue through calle Hidalgo to end at the Jardín.
The local DIF (Department of Family’s Integral Development) will hand over toys to children. In addition, the Economic Development and International Affairs Department will install a photo booth where the kids will be allowed to have a picture taken with the Three Kings.
