Cuisine to the fourth power

Following the line of good eating and drinking, and of the perfect balance you get while combining these two elements, last December 4 a dynamic gastronomic event took place at Calenda restaurant, inside the hotel Nena (Nemesio Diez 10).
The event was named 4×4 (a simple way to describe the numerological format), and it went roughly like this: four chefs competed against one another for the vote of 40 diners; offering them four courses with four different paired wines. The participating chefs were Jose Bossuet, from Café Contento; Julian Garcia, private chef; Boris Olvera, from La Cocina de Boris and Karen Wix, from Oca in Mexico City.
The four cooks showed their own personal expertise (to the delight of many), mixing old recipes with new vibrant accents and unexpected ingredients. Before starting the dinner, cocktails were served to open up appetites; and, sure, Atención was there.
