First Fringe Festival closing fiesta

By Jade Arroyo

From October 11 through 19, San Miguel hosted the very first Fringe Festival in all of Latin America. The Fringe Festival defined itself as a festival without censorship, where everyone fit in; it was meant to be bold, original and imaginative. The festival delivered a wide array of performances, from puppets to sexy and provocative cabaret, comedy and drama, all intermixed with fun parties. The closing party was held at Casa de Europa, located at San Francisco 24. DJ PapaCheco was in charge of the music, making everyone hit the dance floor. The accompanying visual screenings added another layer to the glamour and eccentricity of this well-attended event.
