Shacter will share his incredible collection and expert knowledge with Mujeres and friends. Tour his magnificent gallery collection that includes the finest of Mexican folk art pieces, antiques, photographs, textiles and blown glass. Mayer Shacter is a wealth of information and is delighted to bring his collection to ‘life’ answering questions about Day of the Dead, the artists he represents and their exceptional pieces.
Enjoy a glass of wine and munch on sweet and savory botanas as you linger with guests on the patio, stroll the beautiful grounds or browse the gallery.
As you tour the collection, keep holiday gift giving in mind. Shacter and Page have graciously offered to give Mujeres a percentage of all purchases, so each item you select will include a donation to our scholarship program. The approximately 150 scholarships Mujeres provides each year are solely dependent on the generosity of people like Susan Page and Mayer Shacter and yourselves. Your involvement is instrumental in the future of Mexican girls, women and sisters striving for success.
Become an important link in a deserving woman’s quest for further education and a better life. Become part of the joy. Experience Day of the Dead with Mujeres en Cambio on Thursday, October 24, from 4 to 6pm. Tickets are 250 pesos and must be purchased in advance at La Conexion (Aldama 5 and Cafe Monet) and Solutions (Mesones 57). A carpool will be available from St Paul’s Church at 3:15pm.
