The House of Europe in Mexico is located in a beautiful historical building at San Francisco 23. This institution was created to promote art and culture and to be a link with European countries to foster the exchange of cultural projects and students and to be a showcase of European artists and other creative people.
The inauguration was held Thursday, September 26, at 7pm and featured a collective art exhibit entitled “Convergencias” (“Convergences”), including paintings, sculptures, installations and art objects by artists Mariana Alarcón, Tom Tomás Burkey, Edda Clasen, Mr. Mosca, José Luis Arias, Lourdes Cordero, Sam Seaman, Michael Wiebach, Gabriel Fontanilla, Carmen Jiménez, Edward Swift and Manuel Lozano. A percentage of the sales will go to benefit the San Miguel de Allende Foundation, which sponsors the Casa de Europa. “Convergencias” will be up for one more week. Don’t miss the chance to see the show and this amazing space.
