Pedziwiatr has been exhibiting his colorful mixed media painting and sculptures throughout the United States for over 30 years. Widely collected in the US, Pedziwiatr has had solo shows in New York, California, Colorado and New Mexico and has won numerous awards. This is his first show in Mexico, his newly adopted country, and incorporates bits and pieces of the special cultural elements of Mexico and San Miguel in particular. He notes that his newest work is more colorful and animated, like a Mexican fiesta.

Pedziwiatr received his MFA from the University of Denver and has also studied at New York’s famous Art Students League. Barbara Poole, owner of Bordello Galeria at Casa De La Noche, discovered Pedziwiatr last winter and likens his work to “jazzy music for the eyes” and says that  “those who take the time to study his work will find a unique blend of abstraction and realism, as well as discover a whole new world of color, composition and rhythm.”

“Que Pasa Con Frijoles y Otra Cosas!” opens with a reception on Saturday, September 28, from 6-8 pm and runs through October 31. Casa De La Noche will offer its usual hospitality. Please come and enjoy. The artist will donate a portion of sales to Jovenes Adelantes and Hospice of San Miguel. For more information or a private viewing, contact Michael Pedziwiatr directly at 415 121 3673.
