The end of the 2012-13 school year evaluation of Centro Infantil San Pablo received rave reviews from the Guanajuato Department of Education. The school did not just satisfactorily meet the academic level necessary for students of preschool age; but it received accolades for learning that it is outstanding and advanced beyond the Department’s expectations for preschoolers. The school’s success with respect to approbation and retention has achieved 100 percent in these education attainment indicators.
Directora Patricia Palacios was recognized as an exemplary educator in the Guanajuato public school system.
By third grade, the five-year-old graduates will have had their learning experiences of the first two years greatly expanded. These experiences include emphasis on personal and social development, physical development and health, artistic expression and appreciation, exploration and knowledge of the world (becoming aware of relevant characteristics of the environment and phenomena that occur in nature), mathematical thinking, and language and communication skills. In addition, by their third year, the children have been introduced to famous artists and the stories of well-known operas and ballets, with the use of puppets as learning tools. Since the children have achieved the proposed learning experiences of the first two years, it is often necessary to introduce other activities to satisfy the curiosities of their expanding minds and imaginations.
In addition to the excellent curriculum described above, the school enjoys a plastic recycling program aimed at providing raw materials that enterprises need, guiding the children in collective values and behaviors aimed at achieving social equity and ecological sustainability. Benefits to the school include compensation based on the amount of kilos collected. This compensation, in turn, is used for purchases or exchanges for notebooks, art supplies and other materials needed by the school.
Centro Infantil San Pablo (CISP) provides early education for underprivileged children. In existence since 2001, over 240 five-year-olds have successfully completed our three-year program. A sponsorship for a child is always welcome. Donations are also appreciated. Advisory Committee Members are often needed.
