Luis Hernandez, the patriarch of the group, started playing with the Mariachi Los Cuervos in 1958. Their repertoire includes styles like waltz, polka and other dance genres but always retaining the distinctive style of the mariachi.

Currently Mariachi Los Camperos is made up ofby 12 members and it is the first one in San Miguel to have recorded a CD and to have a harp.

Nowadays, most of the members of Los Camperos belong to the fifth generation of the family. The representative is Leonardo Tovar and the arranger and composer is Juan José Hernández Sierra, who has accompanied the famous Mexican singer Luis Miguel. Contracts to phone 152-2865.
