LifePath Center–It takes a village

By Berenice Parra

For 13 years, LifePath Center has been a place of gathering for the spiritually minded community of San Miguel de Allende. Founded by Dr. Beverly Nelson, PhD in psychology, author and spiritual counselor Joseph Dispenza and naturopath Dr. Mike Herbert, LifePath has gone through several changes within the last couple of years. Dr. Nelson now is the sole owner/director of LifePath Center, which is a non-profit organization and which she continues to lead into the future. LifePath Center offers guest rooms – whether for people who come to LifePath on retreat, or for tourists who come to San Miguel de Allende on holiday — excellent healing modalities (yoga, Thai massage, acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, psychological counseling and many more) and it is also a terrific venue for different events and ongoing classes offered to the community at large. We are working on creating new programs that will attract more of the Mexican community to these events and classes.

Fundraiser for LifePath
Sat, Aug 31, 7:30–10pm
Rinconada de La Aldea 29
Ticket 400 pesos

LifePath Center has recently moved from its former location on Pila Seca to its brand new and fabulous quarters on Rinconada de La Aldea 29. The premises have been completely remodeled. Aside from the physicality of the space, it’s easy to notice that LifePath Center is a place that radiates warmth and peace. What makes it so special? The answer is a vision, which is firmly grounded in community and generosity. LifePath Center seeks to provide a space for the community to get together in balance, peace and healing. A great example of this is LifePath Center’s most recent initiative: Beautifying the walkway of Rinconada de La Aldea. This is a fantastic project that will incorporate local artists, landscape experts and the community of San Miguel de Allende, bringing them together to make the area of Rinconada de La Aldea more attractive, more inspiring and safer for all residents of San Miguel.

The official presentation of the Beautify Rinconada de La Aldea initiative, as well as many other social projects for the future, will be unveiled at the fundraiser this Saturday, August 31, from 7:30 to 10:30pm. Aside from good food and drinks, there will be live music by Vudú Chile and David Garza; Billy White, as well as an African dance performed by Jennifer Hofmann, and the hilarious comedic skills of Daniel Packard. There will also be a raffle and two auctions (one will be live, the other will be silent), both including amazing items and services! It will be a night of community bonding, laughter, dancing and fun, during which you will be able to join Dr. Nelson and the LifePath Center family in a celebration for new things to come. It will be quite an event!

Ticket information: price per ticket 400 pesos. Buy two or more at 350 pesos each. Purchase your tickets at LifePath Center (Rinconada de La Aldea 29;; La Mesa Grande (Zacateros 49); Mixta San Miguel (Pila Seca 3); with Beverly Nelson ( and Joseph Bennett ( You can also purchase them via PayPal at
