Keith Miller Seascapes

By Margaret Failoni

The magic Keith Miller is able to create in his landscape painting or, as in this case, seascapes, is indescribable. Suffice to say that gazing at them you can almost smell the iodine in the seawater.

Every speck of sand is before your eyes and yet there is no doubt you are looking at a magnificent painting rather than a photograph. Some are scenes of breaking waves on Xijuatanejo’s rugged, rock-lined coastline. Others are scenes from a New England coastline and perhaps the most beautiful is a large painting of a beach in Thailand.

The exhibition is accompanied by a beautiful series of sea rocks and seashell paintings, all in their colorful and shining glory.

Once again, Miller amazes us with his incredible masterful painting techniques and critical eye for the glories found in nature.
