To benefit Ojalá Niños
Thu, Apr 11, 11am-2pm
Enjoy this friend-raising benefit for Ojalá Niños and learn more about the wonderful non-profit program that gives weekly, year-round classes in art, music and literacy to 100 children in the rural Otomí community of San Miguel Viejo.
Discover ways in which you can participate as a volunteer, offer your time, talent or treasure to be a valuable part of this well-planted grass-roots miracle.
Exciting news flash: the children of Ojalá now have the opportunity and potential to form their own cooperatives in several art areas with the promise of developing this business model in order to make a sustainable living through their art! Cooperatives function all over the world in rural and urban areas, providing economic support for millions of people who are among the poorest on the planet. Ojalá is doing this in your neighborhood and you are invited to join us.
Tickets are 200 pesos and can be purchased in advance at the Ojalá table at the Saturday organic market (TOSMA) at Rosewood; Agave Realty; La Conexión at Café Monet.
Celebrate spring and support Ojalá Niños!
