Friend-raising luncheon for Ojalá Niños!
By Elsmarie Norby
Avril a Paris (April in Paris) is the theme of a beautiful setting that will transport you to enjoy all the sensory delights of a springtime afternoon in a Paris café. For us in San Miguel, it is Café Monet on Thursday, April 11, 11am at 2pm.
To benefit Ojalá Niños
Thu, Apr 11, 11am-2pm
Be welcomed with music outside; be enticed by the scene and the aromas inside; beware–you may begin speaking French! Enjoy a three-course French luncheon in the company of other beautiful people.
Your presence will benefit the art, music and literacy programs given weekly, year round to approximately 100 children (Ojalá Niños) in the rural community of San
Miguel Viejo. You will see some of the amazing works by the children and hear wonderful stories about the founding, development and future goals of this exciting program. Access to art, music and literacy for children in rural Mexico offers hope and promise for self-confidence, future achievement and sustainability.
Tickets are 200 pesos and are available at the Saturday organic market at Rosewood and Agave Realty – or can be ordered via email: firstname.lastname@example.org, www.ojala-nino.org.
