Founded by San Miguel resident Sylvia Rogers, Mended Hearts Mexico is a heart patient support group affiliated with the American Heart Association and its first international chapter. The group will host monthly meetings and will sponsor walking groups and other heart-healthy activities.
The Mended Hearts Mexico launch meeting will include the history and purpose of the organization, an overview of meeting topics and group activities, and the meeting schedule. Potential members are invited to share ideas and suggestions. There is no cost to attend the orientation, and meetings will be held on a donation basis.
“For sixty years, Mended Hearts has been offering the gift of hope and encouragement to heart patients, family members and caregivers, bringing all of us together to form a network of caring individuals. This is the purpose of Mended Hearts: to give hope for a rich, full life,” says Rogers.
Registration is not necessary for the March 28 meeting. For more information, or if you cannot attend the orientation but would like to be on the mailing list, please email Sylvia Rogers at firstname.lastname@example.org.
