The project for this concert is the fusion of contemporary jazz with percussion rhythms from different parts of the world, such as African, Arabic, Caribbean, Brazilian, Hindu and North American swing and blues, all being played on tenor, alto, soprano saxophones, forming various formats. Ninety percent of the music is a selection of original compositions and arrangements by Salomon Maawad taken from his CD productions and adapted for this project, as well as two compositions by Charlie Parker. The group is composed of Victor Monterubio, percussion; Papacho, percussion and keyboards; Beto Gonzalez, acoustic and electric bass; and Salomon Maawad, tenor, alto and soprano saxophones.
