It’s all on tape! Percusión Central is live concert and recording at Sala Splendor
By Papacho Sirdey
Sala Splendor inaugurated a series of concerts recorded in public under the label Monday Records. The first concert featured the Ad Libitum quartet and was enthusiastically received by the audience. The idea of the label is to promote innovative musical projects originated in San Miguel, in interaction with musicians from other cities. The money raised from these concerts will be aimed at the creation of demos of the participating bands, helping promote and support local talent.

This coming Monday, March 4, Sala Splendor presents Percusión Central, a creative project founded three years ago in San Miguel as the result of a rhythm workshop initiated by drummer Víctor Monterrubio in collaboration with Keyboardist Papacho Sirdey. The energetic sound of this group comes from mixing world folklore and odd rhythmic patterns with elements of jazz. The repertoire will also include originals.
Due to our limited number of seats we are having two sessions on the same day: one at 5pm and another at 7pm. Therefore, we strongly recommend you make reservations in advance at 415-103-3709 (Daniel) or by mail at email@example.com. Tickets are 150 pesos and include one wine, beer or soft drink. Come support the music of San Miguel and be part of the Monday Records Project! We’ll keep you posted about future concerts.
