Here are some ideas of what to do near beautiful Juárez Park. This French-style park i— “the lungs of the city” — was built a beginning of the 20th century and is name after one of the most famous Mexican presidents.
Make sure you don’t miss the plant and flower fair of La Candelaria, at Benito Juárez Park. These are the last days of the fair, which runs through February 11. Here you will find all kind of plants, flowers, cacti, pots and gardening accessories. Also, several cultural activities and ecological workshops will take place at the venue. The Juárez Park is a gorgeous place, ideal to take a good breath of fresh air.
If you feeling hungry, try something healthy (but yet delicious) at Arbolito Dulce. This cute restaurant is located at Pila Seca 11, they offer a selection of fresh and nutritious meals, ideal for vegetarians. Try the energetic smoothie, which is made with organic fruit, soy, ginseng, zen leaves and spiruline.
A little up the street is the store Mixta, a nice spot to find gifts. All sorts of gifts. The shop offers clothing, jewelry, accessories and homeware; everything has a lot of style.
Only a steps away from the Park, on Nemesio Diez (or Calle Nueva as it is commonly called)is the chic hotel Nena; the good thing is that you don’t need to be a guest to enjoy the rooftop bar. The Skylounge is a chill place with an amazing view of the city. Usually there’s a DJ smoothing your cares away or live performances, and the cocktails — flawless.
