San Miguel is an impressive 16th-century city, with its churches and magnificent architecture, but its spirit is modern and fun. Get to know it!

This store features a nice selection of Mexican folk art from different regions of the country. There are ceramics from Michoacán, shawls from Puebla, blouses from Oaxaca, leather handbags, glassware and tableware. It is located very near the Jardin and right next door to the historical building that houses the local radio station. Once you’re there, take a look.
Mi Casa, Instituto Allende, Ancha de San Antonio 20, 154-8990
This restaurant is really focused on traditional Mexican cooking, but it also offers delicious international dishes. Located inside the historical Instituto Allende, it is a charming place; its terrace has amazing views of town and the Parroquia. Live music on Fridays and Wednesdays at 7:30pm.
Movie Pocket Theatre Hernandez Macias 95, Centro
This cinema has two screening rooms, with a capacity of 21 and 23 seats. Located inside the chic bar “Petit Bar,” it offers art films, foreign films, contemporary films, and others less well known, like that old black and white movie you always wanted to see. This place offers different services for travellers, like a shuttle to the airport and various tours. You can take a day trip to an historical place like Cañada de la Virgen pyramid and ruins or a nearby city such as Guanajuato. You can also find maps and guides about Mexico and San Miguel that will come in very handy.

This bar is quietly elegant but yet relaxed. Here you can choose from a large variety of tequilas and mescales, an extensive cocktail menu and an ample selection of national and imported wines. If you feel like dancing, on Thursdays nights there’s a live salsa band from 8pm through 11pm. Get on your dancing shoes and have some fun!
