Charming San Miguel

The city gets its uniqueness from its atmosphere, art, beauty and people. There are several charming spots in San Miguel that you might enjoy visiting. Here are some of them.
Café Contento, Hernández Macías 72, 154-8020
This cafe has a charming, sunny terrace, where you can sit surrounded by plants and flowers, enjoying a tasty breakfast. It is open for breakfast and lunch, offering both Mexican and international dishes such as eggs, sandwiches, soups and salads.
Parque Benito Juárez, Aldama esq. Diezmo Viejo.
The “lungs” of San Miguel, this gorgeous French-style park named for one of the most admired Mexican presidents. It was founded at beginning of the 20th century; its design features fountains, cast-iron benches, bridges and wide paths. It is a recreational space in the middle of the city, filled with mature trees such as chirimoyas and nogales. The park is a pleasant spot to rest a little or read, enjoying the beauty and peacefulness, or to go for a morning jog.

This one-of-a-kind store features stylish home accessories, which are mostly exclusive designs, and jewelry in silver, leather and brass. Also there are many cute vintage items and antiques.

A refuge for chocoholics, here you can find a large variety of chocolates such as truffles, pralines or creams, along with several chocolates filled with nuts, almonds or fruits. They also offer delicious hot chocolate and coffee. Remember, a box of chocolates always makes a perfect gift.

Luna takes its name from the spectacular views afforded by the rooftop terrace. This bar is an excellent spot to watch the sunset, and later on enjoy a drink under the starry vault of the night sky. The restaurant offers a light and casual tapas menu along with desserts and a full bar. The style, décor and tableware are contemporary Mexican.
