Third Guanajuato Wine and Gastronomy Festival

Festivals are becoming a tradition at the Hotel Real de Minas. Recently, the hotel hosted the third edition of the Festival del Vino y la Gastronomía de Guanajuato (Guanajuato Wine and Gastronomy Festival). The event was completely family-friendly and had a rustic air; in the hotel’s gardens people enjoyed a buffet-style meal in the open air, featuring Mexican dishes such as enchiladas, gorditas, lamb barbeque and traditional sweets. Several musicians and local performers provided entertainment for the event, including classical guitar music, traditional mariachis and a dance show. What really gave the festival its name was the presence of some of the best wineries in the country, promoting their products and giving samples to the public. Wineries from Ensenada, Querétaro, Aguascalientes and Dolores Hidalgo were represented, featuring different types of wines including shiraz, cabernet and port, among several others.
