Landart at El Charco del Ingenio 2012

For the third time, El Charco del Ingenio invites you to visit the Boitannical Garden for the appreciation of the selected projects of Land Art. The objective is to use the landscape of El Charco del Ingenio as the scene for an artistic creation in harmony with the surroundings of the natural reserve using natural materials that fit both visually and ecologically with the environment.

Along with the El Charco team, Alfredo Garcia-Lucio , Jim B. McKeever of Camino Silvestre and PARASOL, and Martin Keogh, who is a board member from El Charco, were the judges. Alfredo and Jim´s designs feature a broad range of materials, focusing on recycled products and those designs and manufacturing processes that will last for years with minimal impact on the environment. On the other hand, Martin Keogh is the founder of The Dancing Ground, an organization that produces conferences and symposia on gender, ecology and mythology.

Starting December 1, visit the Botanical Garden and appreciate the selected projects: “On,” Ricardo Caballero and Francisco Mota; “Moon Gate y Ojo de Dios,”Annie Murdock; “A Tribute to Chan,” Cecilia Ramos Magaña; “Nest,” Margot Dufrene Ketz; “The Four Cardinal Points in Balance,” María Valle.
